This happened because the Sixers basically told her that if she didn't get those plans approved for that location, the Sixers would leave the city and relocate somewhere else.

Chinatown was in an uproar. They rightly stated that a new stadium in that location would create a traffic Hell.

She didn't know what to do, naturally, and that's when the Flyers and Comcast stepped in and said how about we build a new joint stadium with the 76ers in the location the stadiums are in now?

The twat mayor was overjoyed at hearing this, of course, and they came to an agreement that satisfied all.
