The Falcons are making a change at quarterback, with coach Raheem Morris announcing Tuesday night that rookie Michael Penix Jr. will be the team's starter moving forward.

Maybe they have something in Penix but the few times I saw him face a good rush in college he seemed to either get hurt or rattled

Give the rookie a chance. Could have had Bo Nix if they were intent on a QB at 8 though

He's obviously hurt, not recovering well from Achilles injury.

Penix isn't going to get them into the playoffs. My guess is Kirk is being 'saved' because he's already been traded to SF...just have to wait for season to end.
