Parlay bets vs double up straight bets?

Do you guys usually do parlay bets or double up straight bets? Like 1,2,4,8,16 on a 5 team parlay?

I like the straight bet method because you get more rewards points and clear rollovers faster. Downside is you low any same game correlation value that you can get in a parley. And you can hit the wagering limit pretty fast if you start off like on a $100, by the 5th string you are about $1400 after vig.

the only good time imo for parlays is when playing with the man money, never parlay to get money back lost

Of course straight bets give better payouts, parlay for people with no patience.
