The Vikings, coming off a loss in the '87 NFC Championship and a loss in the '88 Divisional round, address their biggest need, an explosive back, and trade a handful of players to Dallas for the H Bomb.

Unexpectedly, Jimmy Johnson cuts all the players, going 1-15 in the process, and accepts the designated draft picks that correlate to each player. The league is in shock, who would voluntarily go 1-15 when losing money? Well...it worked out, for both teams. We know Dallas' story, but did you know the Vikes would win 10 games and reach the playoffs again, losing to SF in '89 as the sun set on Coach Burnsies 30 year Vikings career and as ownership of the Vikings fluctuated annually between a group of 8-11 owners they eventually consolidate per league mandate and move on with Denny Green, reaching the playoffs in all but one year in the 90s, with several great teams.

herschel a top 10 over rated NFL player all time

pretty mediocre.

I think Vikes would have loved those next 3 first round picks and 8 total picks back in the following drafts as they never won a playoff game with Walker in their roster

Johnson a genius
