Oakland As have Never Been a Fav at Home Yet this Season - Anyone Surprised

Oakland had yet to be listed as a "clear" Favorite this year either at home. They were a FAV on the road vs KCR in May.

I realize some books may have listed them somewhere between -101 and -110 at some point but that is not a clear Fav and is more of a toss-up game. They are that bad.



3 teams have not been "clear" Favs on the road yet this year:
Colorado
Kansas City
Washington

I'm going back through a few years of data to try and see if anyone has gone the entire year never being listed as a clear FAV. If you know of this occurring, post it.

This is where I find this data. I'm not sure what book they use for this analysis.

I would be surprised if a team went the entire year without being a favorite. When teams are eliminated from the playoffs, there is usually quite a few players brought up to be evaluated. I would think that has to generate opportunities for some good matchups for these teams and give them "FAV" status.

They host KC 8/21-8/23. Surely they will be clearly favored one of those games at least. Then at home to Detroit a little later in the month.

Great point. This should change the stats. Oak should be a fav at home during at least one of those games.

I missed that OAK was actually a fav at KC in May for one game so they've just never been a fav at home this year (yet). As Billy points out they should be a fav during the KC series at home in August.
