People like this should be locked up.

Not exactly clear at this point what the “motive” is - suggested possibly burglary - but given his prior arson conviction I’d say something even worse.

Who in the hell doesn’t notice a convicted fire bug just “happens” to have a decommissioned fire truck in his possession and start asking questions ?

If you wanted to just burglarize homes - a hell of a lot easier ways to just slip in and slip out without announcing your presence with lights and sirens. At best - he wanted to play “hero” - at worst he may have been igniting more fires.
