the games are close and still points being scored. i just think the defenses are too tired and the offenses make adjustments better.

It's just the game...the play is designed to run the clock thru first 50 minutes.

Teams only have a handful of actual "plays" they run with an expectation of chunk yardage or scoring. They're not going to use up their perceived advantage in the 1st half unless they absolutely have to.

More efficient to run the clock, take points, run basic plays and see where you're at in the 4th.

It's an argument for shortening the games tbh. 4 10 minute quarters.

They need to shorten the play clock. Teams get there with like 20 secs left and just keep "standing around".
You can easily take away 7-10 secs and no one would even notice.
(shit is excruciating to watch when you have the over...LOL)

Niners defense showed up big time today. They employed a bend but don't break style and it worked Philly would get to the 20 and then bog down. That's kind of what you have to do because it's hard to slow down these sophisticated pass offenses in the NFL.
