Texas men's basketball coach Chris Beard was arrested Monday morning on a felony domestic violence charge. He was released from jail Monday afternoon after posting a cash bond.

So, the article stated, "assault of a family/household member, impede breath circulation," or strangulation.

Wonder if it was his wife or one of his kids. He's 49 so he may have teenagers. Can't find anything online about kids ages.

His attorney indicated "The complainant wants him released immediately and all charges dismissed."

If the charges are true and pursued, most programs will let the coach go but somehow I'm thinking Texas might ride out the bad press. It was tough for them to find a "great" coach after they let Barnes go. No offense to Shaka Smart but he didn't pan out well.
