Hey LT profits is there anyway you could offer us some kind of brief analogy or perspective on why you like a certain game ? I know that’s not something you normally do but I feel like that could be a very interesting thing for this forum to read.

I feel like we can all become better handicappers as a whole if we all open up the play books of how we decide to make a certain wager. Just something to think about while you’re here if that’s not something you’re comfortable with then no big deal.

thats why i love reading BMR's written content. a lot of good info goes unnoticed in there

Yeah I need to start reading more of them. The only thing is with reading an article you can’t ask questions on specific things they may say. I like the P2P interaction on the forum when posters break down games & why they like them. Tanko & I plus a handful of posters do this practically every day.

i totally get you on that. i often use the articles to learn more about sports, for example i've been learning a lot about NHL through those articles. but if i have a question on something, i gotta try to look it up. thats why also i share the articles on here to get opinions from you guys, cause i trust yalls brains

Yeah I look forward to the articles that you post on NCAAB from the BMR handicappers, because I’m knee deep in this shit right trying to legitimately make money.

The thing is I am a models guy and it would get pretty boring if I keep repeating "because the model says so!"

I get that Carolina and Vegas are close record-wise, but my metrics show Canes have performed more or less at their proper level while the Knights have scored high on my "Luck" metric.

Ok cool thanks for sharing. So for the most part you don’t handicap these games based on anything else ?

Well the handicapping comes in determining which model edges to act on and which to ignore. This is where staying on top of key injuries helps. And there are also cases like the Leafs total tonight where I actually acted on a tiny edge in terms of raw projection because I felt the +112 made it worth it.
