NFL Public Betting Odds: Week 9 Public Targeting Chiefs, Bengals

BetMGM

  • The surprise underdog leading Week 9 in ticket percentage.
  • Which spreads are receiving sharp support.
  • How public bettors are betting Chiefs vs. Dolphins, Bengals vs. Bills.
Week 9 of the 2023-24 NFL season is right around the corner, and I’m here to deliver an NFL public betting report.
For clarity, public support is defined as when a side receives more than 51% of all tickets.
Bettors can identify sharp support when a team receives under 50% of bets but more than 51% of the money.
With that established, let’s get to this week’s data based on NFL betting lines.

NFL Public Betting Odds Report

The team receiving the most support from public bettors is the Los Angeles Rams (+3).
As of Friday morning, the Rams have received 78% of all tickets against the Packers. Interestingly, despite simultaneously receiving 77% of the money, Los Angeles has moved from +1.5 at open to +3.
Here are the remaining public sides for Week 9:
  • Kansas City Chiefs (-1.5) – 74% of tickets
  • Cleveland Browns (-8.5) – 66% of tickets
  • Washington Commanders (+3) – 68% of tickets
  • New Orleans Saints (-8.5) – 55% of tickets
  • Baltimore Ravens (-6) – 62% of tickets
  • Houston Texans (-2.5) – 65% of tickets
  • Carolina Panthers (+2.5) – 67% of tickets
  • Las Vegas Raiders (-1.5) – 59% of tickets
  • Philadelphia Eagles (-3) – 63% of tickets
  • Cincinnati Bengals (-1.5) – 76% of tickets
  • New York Jets (+3.5) – 55% of tickets

NFL Sharp Betting Odds Report

Two teams this week can be identified as supported by expert opinions.
The Vikings and Falcons are even in terms of tickets at 50%, but money is more lopsided in favor of Minnesota.
As of Friday morning, Vikings (+4) has received 73% of the money on 50% of the tickets.
The Seattle Seahawks (+6) appears to be another target of sharp bettors.
Seattle has received only 38% of all bets. However, they’ve simultaneously received 52% of the money.
Lastly, the Patriots (-3) have also received more financial support compared to their ticket percentage.
Tickets are 68%-32% in favor of Washington, but money is only 51%-49% in the Commanders’ direction.
