New Account when Self excluded

Just putting a question out there to see if anyone has had similar issues. So approx 11 months ago I opened a online betting account with one of the most popular betting sites there is. Anyways throughout those 11 months I deposited near €10,000 and withdrew €0.00. Horrendous I know!!
Recently my account has come under review and now they are looking to close my account, as back in 2014 I had an account and closed it permanently under the responsible gambling closure. The only difference between that account back then and the one now is an email address as I changed email address about 3 years ago due to work reasons. Now I accept the account can’t be open anymore due to this breach of me closing up a different account back in 2014 but my question in all this is, am I entitled to be reimbursed all my deposits? From advise I’ve been given this is a major breach of their license and they have a duty of care in this instance to stop accounts being opened by from people like myself.

I just want to put it out there that I’m not moaning about losing this much and wanting it back. They brought up the situation so the way I’m looking at it now is, I’m not gonna lie down and let the account be closed after me punting almost €10k over a 11mth period. I’d happily keep the account open and never see a cent of that money back as I lost it from placing bets. Would love some advise and what’s the best route to take. If I should just accept the loss and the account closure then that’s fair enough if I’m going to be fighting a very hard battle. Thanks in advance

Lets see what they say. THB they would be crazy to close your accou8nt now. Yiou have a small chance to recover your losing wagers.

Self-exclusion is a facility for those that have decided that they wish to stop gambling and wish to be supported in their decision to stop. If you think you are spending too much time or money gambling – whether online or in gambling premises – you can ask to be 'self-excluded'.

I have escalated the issue and finally got past a load of customer care reps and I’m now being dealt with by a manager/supervisor. Waiting a reply currently after I sent them an email. I’m not questioning the status on the account and accept the closure. I’m questioning how almost €10k was allowed to be deposited into an account with the exact same details as an account that was permanently self excluded. They also asked me to send over documentation to verify this account a year ago which I did and I got an email back saying the account has now been fully verified. How can this happen I’m asking? I’m also aware from advise that if ever I tried to make a withdrawal, then more than likely that’s when it would of flagged and the withdrawal would have been declined and the account closed. As I’ve stated I think this may be a breach in their license by allowing this happen so easily and they do have as much a duty of care as anyone to stop this from happening. Let’s see what they reply.

Well it seems that they did not look closely at your history. Maybe they approved you knowing you would lose and then claim that you knew what you were doing. In other words in this day and age no one take responsibility seems that is the situation with these guys too.
