So the girls will get their cut of the money.....
  1. Revenue-sharing payments from schools to athletes must be “proportionately” distributed to men and women athletes
  2. Schools are permitted starting July 1 to distribute at least $20.5 million to athletes annually in an escalating, capped pay system.
Most schools were planning on dumping 85% of the revenue into Football and mens basketball. That may need to change to avoid Title IX issues.

But, there's a catch... This is only "Guidance" and the new administration (Trump) will make the call on enforcement and can change the guidance.

It’s an unenforceable ruling - just like saying equal pay in the workplace.

You can say that a person not be discriminated against salary wise based on their sexual orientation - but you can’t require that 53% of the people hired for any particular job be female.

So how does this work for example if a trans athlete signs up ? Do they count towards the female quota as they are playing women’s sports - or male as it was their sex at time of birth ?

First, excellent question. But, since GOP has a bill in the house to ban transgender athletes, that may not be an issue for long.

Second, its just a guideline and not enforceable like you said but, you can be guaranteed there will be a Title IX lawsuit filed by someone very soon for the "in-equality" in NIL monies.
