Reached out to customer service and was told their book doesn't charge fees but blockchain does.

They couldn't tell me what the fees are and stated they won't refund the fees.

Has anyone deposited with MyBookie using crypto? If so, how much did it cost.

Ran into the same issue at BetWhale but the book reimburses deposit fees.

Any help would be appreciated.

Depends entirely on who you use for crypto and how you buy it.

For example - PayPal charges me like $60 to buy 1k in BTC - the transaction fee is outrageous.

CashApp is like half that - both I’m using a debit card to buy.

If using BTC in my account account - cost to transfer with them about the same - anywhere from $1.5 to $3 per thousand.

Robinhood on the other hand is dirt cheap to buy (.6 - so a grand is $6) and sending is like 30 cents - BUT you must have cash in your account to buy and the max transfer per 24 hours is 1k.

In general BTC transfer fees are highest - LiteCoin is cheaper to send (many times free) and is faster processing in my experience. Bitcoin Cash is good too about low fees and speed.

Personally would NEVER use PayPal to buy - it’s easy but way too costly. CashApp is ok to buy and has a higher daily limit (like 3k) - but only does bitcoin.

Atomic Wallet or Kraken good too - but Atomic cost to buy was worse than PayPal the one time I looked. Also - be aware PayPal loves to not allow you to transfer crypto you receive for days - in the name of “security”. I use it to receive as it gives a new address each time - but pain in the ass sending to my other accounts to convert to cash or hold (and selling via PayPal is pricey too) - remember these apps make their money processing the transactions - just like banks make money every time you swipe a card - which is why they push it. Taking 3% for a transaction that cost you .003% is a pretty nice profit margin.

I don't like paying $50 in deposit fees.
$50 in fees is a pretty sizable deposit. Bookmaker always reimburses my deposit fees with the exchange. Why are you not playing with Bookmaker your money is the safest there. Unless you were bonus hunting, and if you’re bonus hunting with that size of a deposit, that’s a huge rollover that you will endure.

I'm an amateur. I ran my Bovada account up to $4,000 and lost everything in one day. Put in $775 and won $3,225 in a week. Hit my rollover but Bovada claimed I created my account with a wrong DOB. Sent them documentation twice and they still would not let me get my money out. Filed a complaint with BMR...nothing.

If you’re playing at MyBookie or BetWhale - you have to be a bonus hunter in my experience. Or trying to get Baller status here possibly.

Bookmakers great - but why not hit up JustBet and get a big bonus AND Bookmaker security of funds ? Or SportsBetting.ag (BetOnline owned - gives a 25% free play with 6x RO) or YouWager (many bonus options - some with option to withdraw any winnings immediately (say you put in $500 - get a 40% free play - you can withdraw any balance over $700 prior to meeting the RO).

BetAnySports is another book that offers option to take withdraw winnings prior to making your RO. BAS offers 25% CASH with a 6x RO - pretty good deal.

If you really want a big bonus though - check out BettorsDen - Celebration promo gives you 124% free play up front PLUS another 64% if you bust out if you decline casino free bets. Plus they offer -105 reduced juice on major sports up to $500 per game.

Yeah I don’t play with Bovada, they like to bring too much Fuckery when it’s time to get paid. I got enough fucking headaches trying to win these games.

Forgot to mention BetWWS.ag too

Willy is on the forum and very responsive - playing there now and great service from this new shop and nice bonus packages available.

Great book if you want higher limits with your bonus. A lot of the places hanging big bonuses have relatively low limits and restrictions in place as well as low payout limits. BetWWS doesn’t play those games and is a good book for bonuses.

Bovada service has to be the worst in the industry.

Haven’t played there in 15 years / tried to recover my user name and nothing. Tried calling/emailing - nothing worked.

Of course you know damn well if I tried to sneak in and sign up a 2nd time - they would “find” my old account miraculously the moment I hit the request payout button and come up with an excuse to not pay me. Even if I did not take a bonus (which I’d never recommend doing there as they play way too many games treating anyone who takes a bonus and wins as a ”professional” or “cheat” (or both).

PayPal and Venmo have that built in charge where you always pay about 1.5 percent juice against the actual market value buying or selling

I had one live chat rep tell me my birthday was wrong, the other said it was right. One tell me my pin was wrong, another agent told me it was right.

I sent a copy of my passport, driver's license, social security card, and birth certificate.

Plus a photo of me holding my passport next to my face.

They knew my betting patterns were poor and waited until I went broke.

Filed a complaint with BMR and nothing. I want my initial deposit back. They're liars, cheaters, and scumbags.

Mybookie is not bad. They’ve been around a long time

rec players

A lot of places are good for “rec players” (read - player who can’t make it through their rollover to withdraw).

From experience - MyBookie isn’t as bad as say Bovada and not in the same class as Oddsmaker - but they also aren’t BetOnline - probably fall somewhere between YouWager and Jazz on my scale of books.

You can win there - just don’t make a habit of it and don’t play too big. They like players who generate high volume / low risk amount wagers to maximize profitability.

Like I’ve said - not my personal favorite book to play at for a bonus - but better than many and they pay.

@djefferis
Drop a short list of the books you'd recommend from best to worst. I think we've seen Bovada would be at the bottom.

I don’t do too to bottom - to me it’s just pass/fail.

Bonuses are a big difference - I mean for example no one’s going to argue BetOnline/Bookmaker being secure and offering high limits - but your not getting much of a bonus there either.

BetWWS
BettorsDen
Youwager
Betanysports
Sportsbetting (BetOnline/LowVig don’t pay a binus
Heritage/Bet105
BetNow

all books I use presently and would feel comfortable with keeping 5k plus at as I have on occasion.

Don’t use JustBet/Bookmaker as shown the door long ago at Bookmaker and JustBet cheated me on a Medeved meltdown on a tennis bet last year (called it a push and then decided after others deemed it a loss to change decision and called me asking to redeposit to make up the loss). I’d trust them - but won’t give in to their flip flopping on rulings.

Others - well depends on the bonus. Myself I will take a risk if the deal makes sense. Start small with what you’re comfortable losing in a single bet and be prepared to walk away not getting paid.

BetUS for example - I’m comfortable playing at - but their constantly changing KYC requirements are worrisome and the bonuses usually have a high roll so not for me. I’d take 40% at 8X over 100% at 15-18x any day. Easier to get out quick.
