Everything we saw last year tells us ChiSox are a BAD team. I do think they will get better (really no where to go but up from here) - just like Pittsburgh and Colorado - but early on I just can’t see betting them.

Minnesota is playing for the division - ChiSox are aiming for 60 wins - I’ll take the contender at a price here.

I'd bet the under on CHW 60 wins. Sure they could pull together a streak or two but I don't see any moves that made them better this year.

I'd bet the under on CHW 60 wins. Sure they could pull together a streak or two but I don't see any moves that made them better this year.

They haven’t - but last year was a historically horrible losing streak too. They could bring up the team from Charlotte and probably win 42 !!

There will always be guys wanting to show they belong in the bigs and always guys who think they can “relax” in “meaningless” games against non contending teams where they know losing a game or even a series against won’t hurt their playoff aspirations.

Of course some teams just feel cursed too and ChiSox are as close as any baseball team to being cursed. Who has been this bad for this long - Pirates? Marlins - both historically cheap teams. Chicago spends money - but they just can’t win consistently - even in a small market division. Since 2013 - not counting the covid year you have a single winning record - even the Tigers can top that.
