But, many won't think through the true $ figure. Their actual spending, if they had not deferred their players salaries over 10-15 years is probably closer to $500M+.

This is geting ridiculous. How can anyone expect the bottom 7 teams (all <$100M) to compete with teams spending 3x, 4x, 5x as much?

The only ironic thing that could happen this yr is if they don't get the World Series title despite all these high salaries.

We can only hope.
I loved it when the Yankees would be super high on the salary list (like they are now) and then not make the playoffs. It just feels more satisfying knowing you can't always buy the WS.

I know right

Dodgers & Yankees payroll nearly 7x more than the Marlins

That’s insane & unfair
