Miles Russell deletes Tiger Woods' records© Aurelien Meunier/Getty Images Sport
If you haven't heard already, there's a young talent from Florida who's breaking all of Tiger Woods' records one after another. This tough little guy goes by the name of Miles Russell, and at just 15 years and 8 months old, he's been lighting up the Korn Ferry Tour, the PGA's satellite circuit, with some incredible performances.
Despite receiving invitations to participate in the last two tournaments, Miles has managed to post six stunning scores under par for a total of minus 20.
Tiger Woods, record
To put it into perspective: at the Lacom Suncoast Classic, Miles finished at minus 14 with rounds of 68, 66, 70, 66, securing a 20th place finish. In one fell swoop, he became the youngest ever to make the cut in a pro tour event co-sanctioned by the PGA Tour and the youngest ever to crack the top 25. But that's not all: the following week, Miles Russell competed in the Veritex Bank Championship, where he posted two more rounds under par, shooting 68 and 70.
Unfortunately, he didn't make the cut this time around, but that didn't matter much because in the meantime, as the number 1 ranked player in the AJGA standings, he received an invitation to compete in the Barracuda Championship on the PGA Tour from July 18th to 21st, effectively fulfilling a (young) lifetime dream.

Meanwhile, as he awaits his debut among the giants of the golfing world, Miles is enjoying his junior amateur records. At just 15, he recently broke Tiger's record as the youngest ever to be named AJGA Player of the Year and as the winner of the Junior Player Championship.
Now, with these special guest appearances among the pros, young Miles is facing some of the practical challenges of adult life: he's not old enough to rent a car or a house to stay in during tournaments. Fortunately, his father is always there to accompany him while he's busy trying to gain more swing speed. This is all about.it.
