Evans is going to go down as an all-time great if he keeps playing

They didn't wanna lose him to free agency. I will say if he got to test the free agent market he would have got a way bigger and contract. Because this would have forced Tampa to match whatever huge offer he would have got from other teams. 26 million per year isn't too shabby either. I think if he tested market he would have got a 4 year or 5 year max deal way over 160 million. You gotta think he took that into consideration. If he Leaves the team he has to sell the house move his family upends his entire life for another 20 to 30 million. I guess it wasn't worth it to him to make such a big move. Good for him. The guys a beast.
