It’s a real thing

I’ve known of 4-5 instances in which someone lost a partner and then also passed 1-3 days later

Yes sometimes that can be ruled coincidence but not always

Also Knew one slightly mentally handicapped young man around 30 who lost his mother who was the one who mostly cared for him, and he passed a couple of days later too

That line I posted is particularly for lovers. Oh no, you cannot say that to your family.
But that goes especially for lovers.

A lover becomes a wife, a husband, a mother, a father, an aunt, an uncle.

Maybe women should just stop being whores and sluts and instead be moral?

I quote JJ's post referencing only to woman. No attachment, no marital vows, no etc. If you want to go deeper, don't try to use my post as your reference.

women will get takotsubo cardiomyopathy at a higher frequency. men have traditionally died of it at a higher RATE for a number of factors.

men tend to already be older than their female spouse so they are older when they develop takotsubo cardiomyopathy.

male hormonal differences, dietary differences and propensity for substance use following a death of loved one leads to less ideal outcomes.

older men often rely on their wives for some form of medical care/intervention , even if it is just a reminder to use 02, take meds, use walker ECT.

Back to the topic - emotional stress triggered events are absolutely a thing.

I know of a few cases of spouses passing immediately following their mate - the neighbor passed a year to the day exactly.

But it can be more than spouses/loved ones too - after my old man became ill - he began to open up more about his time in the Army. It was something he never spoke of for a very long time and honestly when he started having some issues with it - I sadly had no idea how to properly react (would wake up in the middle of the night reliving some horrible events - screaming things like he stepped on a mine and lost his legs - we’d just laugh at him the next morning - wrong of course, but this was before PTSD was a commonly known/accepted thing).

Anyway - when he started opening up about it late in his life - I encouraged it - was interesting to learn and those chemo sessions are long and boring to just sit there and watch tv mid day. He talked about the scariest moment of his life - returning with a convoy one night and broke down. While they were repairing the vehicle - snipers attacked and he was stuck below a deuce and a half. He was a short timer at this point (had like 2 weeks till he returned home and was discharged) and thought for sure his number was up.

Anyway - LT was screaming for him to get his ass from under that truck and start firing back. Old man just froze - said no way in hell he was going out there. Some black guy who had just been transferred into their unit was clear - but came out firing to give the old man cover to get out of there and make it to safety. Black guy didn’t make it.

Now the truly shitty part of this - black guy was safe and put his ass on the line for my old man and a couple of others guys he barely freaking knew providing cover fire so they could make it to safety. He was transferred into their unit and the LT was none too happy to have him. LT was a good ole boy from Texas and not a fan. LT wounded and medivac’ed out (ultimately passed a few days later) - but he was the son of a freaking Colonel - so he got the works awarded to him posthumously. The black kid - he got jack shit. Should have have been a Medal of Honor for him as he directly saved the lives of 3 men. But the LT hated him - and made up some BS story after allegedly that got passed to his dad.

Ultimately - my dad passed 46 years to the day of that incident. Wouldn’t have even known if I hadn’t found a letter home where he recounted the incident. I was ultimately able to confirm a lot of details with a few other guys from my dad’s unit and have sent a few request trying to get the matter corrected.

You will never convince me that the anniversary of this incident wasn’t front of mind for my dad the morning he passed. Thanks to a bravery of one man - my dad and 3 others made it home and had lives/families and careers. A couple of them are still hanging in there in their late 70s now and I’m sure they damn well will take a moment and remember this man and many others who never made it home this weekend.
