Let’s take a look at Luka Doncic. The Slovenian superstar has gone viral on social media after a photo of him allegedly drinking beer circulated on Twitter. The Mavs had to deny that the photo of Doncic drinking a beer on a terrace was from before the game against the Warriors, explaining that it was an old photograph.
Recently Lil Wayne didn’t like how Doncic played in the first half of Game 4 between the Dallas Mavericks and the Phoenix Suns, specifically how he exploited the referees to draw a foul on Chris Paul. Lil Wayne tweeted- “Luka a ho”. The rapper is a big Suns supporter and a good buddy of Paul, so his frustration is understandable here. Do you think this is a case of outwitting your opponent or was Luka out of line?

- He was born on 28th February 1999 in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
- His father, Sasa Doncic, was a Slovenian Premier A-League basketball player, and later a basketball coach.
- Greek basketball player Vassilis Spanoulis was one of his earliest basketball heroes. He also admired the play of LeBron James.
- In 2012, Doncic was loaned to the Real Madrid basketball team. He competed for the Spanish team in an under-14s competition.
- He made his professional debut for Real Madrid on 30th April 2015. At 16 years, 2 months, and 2 days old, he was Real Madrid’s youngest ever player
- In his first NBA season, Luka Doncic won the Rookie of the Year Award, and was voted onto the 2019 Rising Star Team.
- He can speak four languages – Slovenian, Serbian, English, and Spanish.
- Luka has several tattoos, including a tiger motif on his left forearm.
- In 2019, he signed an endorsement deal with Air Jordan.
