Guy was accused of killing an elderly man in a car crash in December

Was a heck of a receiver at LSU last year. Ranked as high as #6 WR in upcoming draft

Some of these guys are such a mess mentally - it’s sad.

Think about it - every day since you’re 12 or 13, you’ve typically been by far the best player on every field you touched until you land on campus. You get to campus - you have people promising you the world and telling you your bound for the NFL and millions.

You reach that point where you are headed to the league and screw it up with one stupid mistake. Suddenly not only is the NFL not calling - but the next field you touch is looking to be at a prison yard.

Even if he would have gotten 6-12 months out of this - the fall from riches was huge. Likely looking at 2nd round money and a chance to work himself into a starting job somewhere within a year. Went from that to not invited and likely hoping to catch on in Canada next year if he managed to avoid jail.

"Traveling behind the pickup was a 2017 Kia Cadenza whose driver swerved left to avoid the oncoming Dodge Charger. As the Kia Cadenza took evasive action to avoid impact with the Dodge, it crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a southbound 2017 Kia Sorento."

He cause one 2017 Kia to collide with another 2017 Kia.

What are the odds?

“God needed my baby more than he was needed here“. Most ignorant thing you could fuckin’ say as a Dad.

Agreed.

Simply trying to make sense of the tragic loss of a son I’m sure - but here’s a goddamn idea - why not get your son some help while he is alive - projected NFL status and stigmas aside.

You can’t tell me there were “no signs” of problems over the last decade plus. Teenagers are clever - but they aren’t exactly smart in general. There had to have been signs the kid was struggling with some things before the accident. I get dad is now simply overwhelmed at the moment - but at the same time got to think there was a chance this tragedy could be avoided too. It’s just sad all around - but the only “innocent” life lost was the man in a Kia (and how severe were the injuries of the other involved).

Also comes down to where in the hell did the kid get the gun ? Again - family knew he had issues clearly - why are they not doing something before he killed another innocent person ?
