Do you quantify you much it hurts with losing to dollar amount? I found the scale to losing isn't linear to the dollars lost. I can feel crappy about a $5K loss, and I can feel just as crappy or even worst on a $500 loss. Usually I feel more crappy when I lose with a stupid touchdown. Like LSU tossing that touchdown at the very last second down 28 points and run for 60 yards for a TD.

And winning and losing doesn't really offset each other. So if I win $1K and lose $500 of it later the day, I can still feel crappy about the loss.

I think the emotional aspect of winning and losing have a lot more to do with how you approach it. And if you are upbeat about it, it is much easier to take a bad loss as it is bound to happen.

I believe the dollar amounts definitely have something to do with it. I know after a big bet if I lose I feel a lot differently than if it was a smaller bet

I don't think the dollar amount matters as much as the situation. Situation meaning how bad of a loss was it? Was it a typical loss, a loss because of a lazy player, miracle play, or just a fixed ref game. The most important aspect is in relation to your account balance I believe. If that play busted your balance or close to it than emotions will be much higher.

It is all just monopoly money until the withdraw/cash out. Why casinos use chips, give free drinks, and why some books use gimmicks of not taking you pending withdraw out immediately. They feed on the degenerates greed than the chase happens and before you know it it is all gone. You can grind hours, days, and even months get a nice profit and can be gone POOF in a blink of an eye with bad judgement. Happens to all of us too many times and we always have a bullshit excuse.

I can't stand losing one bet. Todays everyone gets a medal bullshit drives me nuts. I was playing Risk with the kids the other night. They were teaming up to knock me out. One of them says to the other "work with me I will be happy to take 2nd place." Fvck that. You play to win. I envy those that are able to bet professionally. I wouldn't last a month. Gambling is so emotional as it is. I couldn't imagine actually needing that win to provide for your family

Hell it is pissing me off I have to keep 2k at BAS for 30 days even though rollover will be completed this weekend just because I took a bonus. Emotions are firing bigtime especially not being able to bet half the stuff I want to bet or for how much. I want to take them to the fvcking cleaners the next 25 days. Another gimmick books use is delay of grading winners. Same damn event a loser will be graded immediately and winners make you wait sometimes hours. Books know what triggers degenerates.

Exactly. So many times POOF in the blink of an eye. Monoply money like you said. I did it again the other day. Just like all the other fk ups ive posted on sbr.

Grinded up to 3k over a few weeks mostly nfl. Instead of cashing out after the mnf game i lost some live tennis bets. Pissed off I re-enabled my disabled casino. Ran up 5k by the next afternoon. Was gonna cash out 4k and block the casino again..but I didnt of course. Then took a shower, cooked and ate dinner, lost a few 100 playing slots while taking a shit, ran up to 8k after the crap, and lost it all in about an hour.

And I'm so broke right now with loan sharks after me. Fk me.

I feel like a loser in life from betting
Just remind yourself everyone blows their money differently and has different hobbies. Some people need that luxury car and other expensive material objects. Other like myself find them to be a waste of money and find other stuff more valuable like vacations. When I bought my 2015 Kia Optima, I also bought a Sedona mini van the same day. Together they were the same cost as a one luxury car. We added a 2021 Jeep Cherokee this year which was around 36k. I have never spent that much before and was a similar price to buying 2 cheaper off brands but will be a nicer ride for what we need to do out here sight seeing and needing 4x4.
Key is when you do win save or buy material things that are important to you that you physically see. Go on nice memorable vacations that way your time wasted on our degenerate hobby was just that a hobby and didn't eat up all our disposable income. With today's technology at least degenerates can get out more and keep up with games.
