Lexi Thompson to retire from women’s golf at age 29

Only 29 and this will be her 18th US Open.

Very well liked and popular player with 15 career wins, including one major.

Notorious choker in majors, however. Was penalized very controversially 4 strokes while leading a major in 2017.

Also blew the 2021 US Open leading by four with seven holes to play at Olympic Club in SF.
