A Quiet Place: Day One

Had to woke this movie up and it wasn't that entertaining. First of all, why are hundreds of thousands of spaceships allowed to just enter earth's atmosphere? Must be in the future when Kamala Harris is President.

Secondly, just bomb the shit out of the cities the aliens land in. Sacrafice lives to same humanity.

Lastly, why does water kill aliens in every single stupid alien movie. Signs, War of the Worlds, and A Quiet Place. How do they stay hydrated if water is needed to maintain life?

Remakes suck and the days of Mel Gibson and Mad Max are way gone. Movie was decent but 80% of it involved people killing each other.

Too long as well. Just get to the point in one and a half hours not two and a half hours.

I do think Anya Taylor-Joy is hot though.

3 out of 5 stars.

I keep thinking I should watch Oppenheimer - had a HS chemistry teacher who was OBSESSED with teaching us how great the guy was and all he did. Way over my 15 year old mind - but I appreciated him later in life - unfortunately he was one of those teachers I never got a chance to thank as he passed shortly after I graduated.

No great movies these days - just tired remakes with woke scripts. Whatever happened to a great comedy movie ? Animal House? Blazing Saddles. ? Blues Brothers ? Didn’t have to think and could just spend 90 minutes laughing at stupidity. I miss that being the norm.

Half real life, half animated. Just a fun movie that you could even let your kids watch, but not necessarily just for kids.
Stars Ryan Reynolds, who is one of my favorite actors. He does a pretty good job here.

Costner in Horizon

2/10

Scenery is phenomenal.

Storyline goes absolutely no where, it has no link to anything historical or relevant and the last 5 minutes are a whirlwind montage that make any connection to a part 2 impossible to link.

Reagan. If you are a middle aged Republican, you will love it. A lot of conservative actors playing major roles.

If you are a Democrat of any age, it's probably not for you. The movies was panned by the critics, many of them writers for major newspapers.

The story is told through the eyes of an old KGB Agent (Jon Voight) who began tracking Reagan in his early political days. The Russians considered him a threat and surveilled him since his days as president of the Screen Actors Guild when Reagan was blacklisting actors for perceived connections to Communism. Takes you back to the very beginning of Reagan's life and follows him all the way to the end in 2006. All of the major events of his presidency are covered and it is easy to follow. The audience was mostly middle aged and older and all of them left the theater a little misty eyed.

If you were alive during the Reagan years or you are interested in history, this movie is worth the view.
