shocking news and all around the dealership all of us Knicks fans are not happy. doesn't make much sense to me

i know he didn't have any variety in his rotation during regular season and then during playoffs he tried new things. But after ECF for first time in 25 years, how can you fire someone after that

as a knicks fan, i am fine with him gone. never liked him. this is his story with each team. the act wears thin after awhile and unless there is a title as a result, thibs and his 6 strands of hair on the top of his head gel'd down are gone.

as a sports fan, i say why even bother giving him the extension last year? you knew a title wasn't coming and if you were going to fire him even after getting this far, then just let him coach the year out.

I think this is for the best because I'm not a fan of Thibs's style of running his players into the ground. I think he doesn't develop a bench and that is ultimately why they lost to the Pacers. Yeah he outperformed every Knicks coach for the last two decades but I think they can do so much better by getting a guy like Mike Malone who shouldn't have been fired and imo is a better coach than Thibs who can get them over the top.

the team got lucky this year. tatum got hurt which helped a lot. the comebacks against the celtics were lucky as well. sometimes you need luck but i think they saw thru what actually happened.

beating the pistons, while they had a good season, was expected. celtics were some luck. and their defense disappeared against the pacers in key games. thibs is supposed to be a defensive coach.

i also wonder if giannis only wants to come here if thibs is gone.
