Kicks off tomorrow, 10/4. Some trainers I will be keying on listed below. All hit in the 8%-15% range with the penchant for some nice prices. Most of these are still under the radar. Not my usual bunch, as I have to get better at changing with the times.

George Arnold
Jordan Blair
Christopher Davis
Rey Hernandez
Andrew McKeever
Brendan Walsh
Rodolphe Brissett

Davis won race 1, but at a measly 4-1. I’m hunting bigger game.

Race 3
$20 win #2 Ebhaaj 20-1
$2 exbx 2/3,12
$2 DD 2,3,12/1

McKeever entrant had a decent enough debut. Expect some improvement today. If the Cox fave fails, race is wide open for some bombs.

Race 4
$20 win #1 Dancing Music 10-1
Forget to add trainer Michael Campbell to my list above. Quiet, under the radar trainer in Kentucky and Tampa. Somehow got Prat to ride this one.

Race 5
$20 win #12 Excellent Question 8-1
Putting my Brendan Walsh theory to work early in the meet. He has a handful entered today, most at nice prices.

Risked $74

Today’s goal, wish/dream, whatever you want to call it, is to catch trainer George Arnold in back to back races.
With the way I’ve been losing the last two years, I guess I should only wish for winning one. But the breakout, when it finally happens, is going to be spectacular.

Race 5
$1 P3 ALL/11/7

Race 6
$20 win #11 Gear Jockey 20-1 (Arnold)
$2 DD 11/7
$1 P3 11/7/ALL

Race 7
$20 win #7 Red Carpet Ready 8-1 (Arnold)

Race 11
$20 win #7 It’s My Life 8-1 (Arnold)

Risked $82, -$74 for meet

Painful

Curious if you hit the Walsh long shot in the Oaks a couple years back
Negative. Only started playing him recently. Friend has been praising him for years, but he’s never really had that breakout meet.

Figure it’s coming eventually, with all the high-class stock he gets. But sometimes it gets expending trying to time the breakout. Like catching lightning in a bottle. 😁

You have to make exotic scores in horse racing to hang in there. Anything else is a losing proposition.
Can’t argue with that.
One of the biggest wins I ever had was a $10 pick 3 wheel in my early 20s at Santa Anita.

Second and third fave keyed over all keyed over second and third faves.

$360 ticket. Which was a lot for be back then but I was up about $250 on the day.

Caught a 40-to-1 shot in the middle and one of the third faves won. Man, I was sweating the final race

Payed about $8k. Man what a rush

Put 6k in the bank and me and the gf at the time were off to Vegas the next day with $2k in my pocket.

Should have left her home because she was a total drag while we were there. Totally killed my positive juju and I think I only came back with about $500 of the $2k. 😂 I was so glad I put most of it in the bank

That was before the pick 5s and pick 4s became so popular. I used to love me some pick 3s
