crazy how other side of the world has been hammered this year by typhoons and we haven't had any hurricanes hit us land

As of November 6, 2025, Vietnam has experienced 12 typhoons and tropical storms, significantly higher than the average of 9 to 10 per year. Notably, Typhoon Bualoi in September caused 19 deaths and widespread damage, while Typhoon Kajiki in August led to mass evacuations and airport closures. Experts attribute the increased frequency to climate change and the El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) neutral and La Niña years, which often result in more storms and tropical depressions.

This is part of Visayas, which I know @quantumleap is familiar with. Part of Cebu, while my people are in Mindanao, but still raining hard there, and I'm still seeing videos of floods, "luckily" not that super bad like in Cebu.
