What moron is putting down that kind of money at this point on a season long bet ?

BEST case - he continues to produce and no one comes near him and you return like 18% on your money for half a year.

What if he has a prolonged slump - or god forbid an injury that takes him out 4-6 week ? What if someone else gets hot and leads their team into the post season unexpectedly?

A lot of “what ifs” for not a lot of money. I’d feel safer betting Journalism to show at the KY Derby for similar return and not have to wait 6 months for a potential payout myself.
