The Indiana Fever are winless throughout the 2024 WNBA regular season.
While that's only three games, the Fever are now just two losses away from matching the defeats Caitlin Clark had during her entire senior season at Iowa.
Clark looked much better in Indiana's most recent loss than she did during the first two games of the season. Yet, basketball is a team game. And the case could be made that Clark's teammates haven't been performing up to par, either.
During a recent press conference, Fever head coach Christie Sides said that her players were lacking mental toughness, which was a reason they were losing.

Both Clark and Sides showed frustration about how her new teammates are performing during the Fever's game against the New York Liberty on Saturday.
The ESPN broadcast caught a moment where Clark was speaking to Sides while covering her mouth with a towel.
While the broadcast didn't catch what Clark said, Sides response made it clear what they were talking about.
"100%. 100%," Sides said. "We will. Give them time. Give them time, okay? Let's go."
Perhaps it's for the best that we couldn't catch what Clark said.
