We've all see it.
A pitcher is rolling along mowing down batters inning after inning.
The manager takes him out.

A Starting pitcher or reliever is getting rocked, and they leave him in too long until the damage is too much to overcome.

They go through so many pitchers with early relief and pitch counts these days. I will have to look up if it is still a 3 batter minimum or not. I don't like that rule. If you are a coach, you have your cap of players and should be able to play it how you want. I like the limiting of coaching/catcher visits though to speed up game.

I think some managers are pretty smart about knowing when to pull their pitchers. These are usually the teams making the playoffs. Sure a manager is going to appear to make a mistake by leaving a guy in and giving up a HR but for many of the better managers they "have a clue on what to do".

I think Dave Roberts (Dodgers) is a pretty good manager but he has made some dumba$$ mistakes.
Dusty Baker (Astros)
AJ Hinch (Detroit)
Cora (Red Sox)
Counsell (Brewers) - Just kidding. Wanted to get a rise out of Shortstop on that one.
