PHI/WASH/BALT have teams within a small geographic area. You have to pick a team.
Cleveland Browns re-formed to Baltimore. New team, they have been good enough to win two Super Bowls. But they don't have a long tradition. Agree with your statement. I almost never find a Raven fan from an area outside Baltimore.
People in Baltimore under 30 and those in DC who tired of the former Redskins being a laughing stock.
In Cleveland - the hurt of the move has faded mostly. Expect similar things in Baltimore amongst those who were there before 1984. Right now it’s more of an anti-Chiefs sentiment. Kinda like how most of the US will root for Detroit - just tired of San Francisco.
Mahomes is getting annoying - I mean other than Kelce being from Cleveland Heights - not many locally care either way. Tired of the Chiefs and can’t bring ourselves to root for the divisional rival and former Browns - even though Modell is long gone.
Yeah agreed. I'm thinking it such a rarity they might travel.
Last week's game in Detroit had the highest ticket prices in history for a divisional round playoff game, beating out SF and Dallas from last year.
Detroit fans simply weren't selling their tickets in the after market and so prices were soaring there. They added an estimated 50 million to the detroit economy that day alone.
