Someone may have said this already, but I think the three best teams - Texas, Oregon, Ohio State - are on the left side of the bracket

Whoever emerges from that side into the final will have done a hell of a job.

It might bang them up enough too to make them vulnerable in the title game

This may surprise some but I think Notre Dame is live to win their first National Championship since 1988. If they make it past Indiana which I think they will they get Georgia in the second round and I think Georgia is vulnerable with their backup QB having to start the game in place of Carson Beck. That's a huge blow for Georgia football and I think Notre Dame can take advantage. Next up Penn State will likely be their semi final opponent and I think they have enough offense to beat Penn State's tough defense. I honestly think Notre Dame sees Texas in the championship because I don't trust Oregon or Ohio State and those two will have to play each other if Ohio State gets past Tennessee. Why can't Notre Dame beat any of those three teams you mentioned since none of them are overly impressive to me and Notre Dame aside from losing to Northern Illinois has bludgeoned teams. This year there isn't a team that looks head and shoulders above everyone else so I think we're in store for a longshot winning the championship.

ND has a shot but wow is the left side loaded.
Its a toss up on which team TX, OSU, ORE will come out of that side. Texas clearly has the easiest path.

That’s the thing though

They lost to Northern Illinois

They’ve taken care of a weak schedule, similar to Indiana.

Tonight’s game is interesting. Indiana matches up well with Notre Dame
You could say that loss focused them because they absolutely smashed teams after that. Sure they played a weak schedule but they took care of business and didn't overlook anybody after losing to NIU. Notre Dame has a shot but you can say the same for about just about all of the teams except probably SMU and Boise State.

Yeah they had a very similar road as Indiana

Notre Dame is on the easy side of the bracket but they are a flawed team

If they don’t have a physical advantage in the trenches they’re pretty doomed

They can’t throw the ball

Yep stack the box against Jeanty that Qb is a little purdy s.o.b that will hurt you. SMU is going to be right there and a Boise/Smu matchup is possible. Winner to face maybe an offensively challenged Georgia who was +325 last week and now +500 even after gaining a bye

The only team with zero chance to win the whole thing is Asu
