Times have definitely changed. A lot of people have 2 jobs just to get by JJ. So, someone having a job while working the sportsbooks to make money as well seems reasonable.

Hell, health insurance costs are so high, you'd have to have a regular job just to help you pay for it.

Addiction to gambling may also have elements of sin. Addiction usually leads to excessiveness which can be connected to the sin of greed and pride. If one is addicted to gambling and the addiction causes harm to others and creates covetousness, then gambling can be associated with sin.
