That eight to 10-year run after 2003 Moneymaker win was glorious for poker

Will never be the same

And yeah there were some great characters

The H2H battle between Moneymaker and Farha was classic. Sammy just couldn’t get a read on the amateur because CMM was so green, and it ended up costing the seasoned pro dearly during the two biggest hands of the match

Daniel Negreanu was/is awesome too.

It was either him or Ivey made a $1M bet with Matisou about whether Matisou could lose 50 lbs or something. Never knew how that turned out but it was a great conversation to watch at the table when the bet was made.
