Lightning struck our chimney (metal lined) 4-5 years ago and came out the fireplace striking the tile on the floor in front of it. Blew the tile into a thousand pieces. We were in the next room. It sounded like a bomb went off and the air smelled "burned". I think it generated ozone or something from the electrical discharge. Scared the s#it out of us.
Can you imagine being on the s#itter and having the toilet explode from a strike?
You would have had to piss the good lord off something fierce for that to happen.
