We checked in on Helios this morning at TriFecta Farm, where he will remain during his downtime after going through the breaking process and pre-training. During this time off we will do a routine set of survey X-rays (knees and ankles) to ensure there have been no changes from the time of purchase until now. As mentioned in our previous update, Helios will likely get somewhere between 6-8 weeks of downtime, but we will finalize that timeline as we get closer to the end of the anticipated break. When young horses get their downtime after initial training it's common for them to hit a growth spurt, but we are extremely pleased with the way this son of No Nay Never looks body wise--he remains very balanced and proportional. In the videos above, you can hear a few remarks from trainer Mark Glatt, who described him as a "Nice horse. Well balanced with a good mind."
