I’m one of the few that don’t like parity in sports

It makes it mediocre and in an away kind of boring. It’s hitting every sport except Formula One and maybe 10 teams ncaaf

The talent pools are just so great now
Handicapping wise it’s great for underdog gamblers

disagree GOLD. Even though I prefer the brand of basketball played in The Bird and Jordan era I like the idea that more than a few teams can win the title. Parity = more interest imo. Also like the underdog betting wise so good for me with more parity as well.

NIL may help resolve the parity issue JJ. We're going to see the "haves" and the "have nots" come out of this mess. There will be 2-3 dozen schools that pay massive NILs and will get everyone. The rest will be minor league.

No one “wants” parity - but we all bitch when it’s not our team doing the winning.

Fact - look at viewership of the respective sport when Yankees were willing WS year after year, Bulls were dominating NBA and UNLV was the dominate NCAA team.

Only “dynasty” I can think of that didn’t command a huge share were Oilers in the 80s - Gretzky of course got the press - but look at those teams.

Today it’s anyone’s trophy most years - and it sucks. Even when a team like Chiefs or Warriors start to look dominate - we are plotting their downfall.

the same here JJ, i hate it, nascar is a great example as we watch them just ride around 2 by 2 waiting for the big one now
