How the NBA could have saved this past weekend

We know there are two things in the NBA no one cares about - the NBA Cup and the All Star Game activities.

If they need to have an NBA Cup, why not place some big quarterfinal/semifinal games this past weekend? Probably would have drawn well with no football. They could do quarterfinals Thursday/Friday and semifinals Sunday. Final game maybe Tuesday.

As for the All-Star Game stuff, they could either get rid of it or squeeze it in another time. It’s become so non-competitive with format changes making it even worse.

I'm not sure how they are going to stop the NBA's slide--can you imagine another 10-15 years on this trajectory? Their only hope is to ramp up global support.
