Quit as in just walking away - 2 times.

- First was like 3 years. Was 30 and had way more responsibilities than free time or money. Working 2 jobs with no rime to gamble.

- Second was after my dad passed. Just couldn’t do it anymore without thinking about him. Around 6.5 years before I started to again.

I’ve never been an addict to anything - but compulsion is a different thing. Could go weeks without placing a bet - but then go all out one night and stop again for a month easily. Fortunately since those days I got more educated on my endeavors and learned how to make profitable wagers and not just pure gambles.

I managed to do it once and walked away for several years because I didn't like what happened when I gambled which ultimately was losing money I couldn't afford to. Of course I got back into it when I started working for a company called Winview games which was essentially a simulated gambling app where people would watch football and then during the timeouts they would go to their phones and bet on props that we as producers for the company would come up with. Cool little gig and the fact that everybody there was into betting football at the very least got me back into betting for fun. The only difference is I decided to keep it fun and social meaning betting small which I still do to this day. I may not win much on my bets but I'm only in it for the entertainment value I get out of it not to make a living.
