How many Sportsbooks actually have a clue?

Do they all have some guy who knows all the numbers to input to make a line? Or do they simply copy lines from other books? I would think they would have to have people who know what they are doing if they offer live lines or how else would they change the line so fast on a live game? Anybody know what it all looks like seeing someone update the lines at a sportsbook? How much time do you think it takes to change all the lines? Where are these places that these people work at where its basically 24/7 and lines have to be constantly changed? Do lines change just based on the amount of money being wagered on one side or is it more based on sharp money or a mixture of both?

A lot copy but oddsmakers have the data analysis tools to create a reasonable line that is consistent across the board. A lot of bettors can too

Oddsmakers obviously can all react accordingly to injury news. Sometimes they hold off to see what other books do before adjusting a line
