New york brought this on themselves. At first the garbage and homeless people just blended in with what was already there but now they have managed to live an even better life than the pre-existing losers scattered around New York. Surely the great wasteland of California will match this generosity or they can no longer maintain their woke capital status.

I know ridiculous- helping out people without the ability to provide housing and food to their families while not first thinking of those given the opportunity and declining to extend more assistance to them.

Look - it’s simple - there is a sector of the US who can’t work for whatever reason. And we have programs for those citizens (SSI) - unfortunately there are a number of people who decided to abuse that system and have stretched it thin - making it harder on those who are in legitimate need - similar situations exist in our Veterans Administration. Amazingly - there are those who want to blame someone else for the problem - not tighten up the programs available to citizens already to curb abuse (and fix the issue with a lack of employable workers for entry level jobs).

Worse - there are those who want to blame immigration for all our woes. Again - it’s simple - cut off the incentive to sit home and collect a guaranteed check AND work to assimilate immigrants to make them employable. Work on both and you see the economy resolve itself too.

But of course that does nothing to put $$ in either parties coffers - so it’s a useless idea. No one can claim victory over the other and only the people benefit. Better we keep beating each other over the head proving “our” side is correct. This is why I remain independent politically - following a party line is what led to most every dark moment in world history.
