So had a decent size win today (15k - non gambling related).

Question is how to celebrate ?

Thinking taking 1/3 and spending on myself on something I’ve been wanting for a while (and always too cheap to buy).

1/3 on a vacation for me and the wife

1/3 “investing” in my gambling bankroll.

I know - should be putting that last 1/3 into stock market or something - but I’m already invested and have a rainy day fund/savings for the unexpected already that’s long established.

My gambling fund is just my “personal” savings that I keep stocked for gambling/bonus opportunities. Eventually as it grows I pull excess out and move it over to investments - but always keep a little dry powder in case an opportunity presents itself.

That's awesome Jeff! No reason not to treat yourself & the wife with a decent chunk & invest the rest. I'm slowly trying to dig my way out of that self-induced canyon in Jan when I lost 100k & reloaded 50k twice to drop to 104k. Once this $5400 WD hits my account gonna deposit another 10k into Wealthfront to get to 177k. Still not back at 204k but hopefully not much longer.

Agree on donating to charity - call it whatever you want, karma/good luck/personal belief

I try to spread around any gambling winnings or other big “found money” hits with one of several organizations.

I don’t like to focus on one or 2 places - rather would give $500 to 10 smaller places than 5k to one. I really should start volunteering more I know - but between work and home - hard to find the time.

You sure about that little buddy? 🤔
1) up 219k combined DK/FD since 2022
2) WD over 15k since Sat while maintaining 100k
3) even won money betting on the shitty Andreeva sister & taking an outright on "Nicky" who hasn't won since 2022
