You drafted him #1 guy goes to front office and is asking to be paid what he is worth and they say, nah we are good with…..

Pittsburgh on Saturday agreed on to send the 2015 All-Star to Houston for corner in Colin Moran (the Astros' No. 5 prospect), outfielder Jason Martin (No. 15) and big league right-handers Joe Musgrove and Michael Feliz.
Notably absent from the trade are both of the Astros' top prospects, outfielder Kyle Tucker (No. 8 overall) and righty Forrest Whitley (No. 26 overall)

Musgrove a very serviceable 3.86? Nah let’s send him to San Diego after his best season and only 3 years and bring in Hudson Head. Where that guy playing right now?

I could go on about how they traded Glasnow, Meadows, Baz (not me) for………….

A washed Chris Archer? Sell the fuckking team to some people who want to compete. Going to be mortified over the bag of Lay’s they are going to take for Skenes.

Pirates the cheapest ass organization in MLB not named Marlins.

Seriously - look at the history of this club the last 40 years. Is ironic - many of the old timers back home became Pirates fans after deserting the Indians for trading Rocky Colavito - only to wind up watching the team they cheered for becoming WORSE than the Indians of Trader Frank with their propensity for cheapness and bad deals.

Parker, Bonds, ect - how many big name free agents walked with the team getting nothing for them ? So they got “smart” and began dealing talent early for prospects that never panned out. Of course they always seem to get lucky in the draft and pull a star - but for some reason they can’t scout other teams talent for shit the last 3 decades (unlike the 80s where they managed to find a few gems).

Yeah get rid of Bonds so Leyland can blow cigarettes in the dugout hallway in peace.
