Here's the thing, and take it from a Kentucky fan who is very happy John Calipari is gone, having lottery picks guarantees nothing anymore with teams able to stock their rosters with grown men using the transfer portal. These guys will more than likely have better pro careers than most of the guys that enter the transfer portal but they'll develop in the NBA more than they'll develop in college. That's just the way things are now that NIL and the transfer portal exist teams are able to build rosters that are just as good as teams that have future lottery picks because they're more experienced players that are every bit as talented as these guys just out of high school.
