How big of a disadvantage does ND-Georgia winner have in playoffs?

I think the two-day rest advantage for Penn State, plus extra stress dealing with tragedy in New Orleans/uncertain game status, will be a tough one to overcome in the semifinal.

Will be a disadvantage but I think the refs will do all they can to keep Penn State out of the championship game. No appeal compared to Notre Dame or Georgia.

I don’t think they would want an Ohio State-Penn State final at all. A Texas-PSU one is interesting, but even there Texas vs Georgia or Notre Dame should draw bigger.

ND always blows their load in these big games quite early, I can't trust them this time around. I haven't been reading the card well these days so that might be a good thing for ND backers, we shall see.

Although a lot of factors effected these teams (delay, terrorist attack, etc...), I'm thinking how they play today will be a bigger "tell" on how they will do when they face Penn St.

If I was a huge Penn State fan I’d certainly be rooting for Texas in the other Semifinal. They are similar teams, neither of which are as talented as Ohio State.

Franklin is very lucky.

He never wins a big game though.

They got the easiest opponent out of everyone.

When they get Georgia or Notre Dame the harsh reality will set in.

If Ohio State is locked in, takes care of the ball, and Day/Kelly don't get cute with playcalling

Then Ohio State wins the championship easily

I do think Texas game will be close though. Just feels like a flatter spot for them -- big, emotional win + Texas wake up call

If they get through that though, then don't see them losing to whoever comes out of the other side of the bracket
