Played a intra team game in 2000 out in Cape Fear (yes, THAT CAPE FEAR) guy was a stud from day 1 w Montreal!
Played against Glen Perkins in a scrub league (he played wood bat summer league after HS, before the draft)
Brian Whinnery, a local kid, had solid stuff too but I think he topped out w the Northern League.
Rest of the defunct Prarie League (3rd incarnation) was mostly Hispanic kids, position players that couldn't grade out, that Montreal tried to turn into pitchers.
On kid, Rouqu or Rouqe, had HEAT. Kid was like 6'5 and good for 2k per inning but never went anywhere, but had a slide piece that was devastating second pitch but couldn't throw it for a strike.
