Having some router problems

Having problem getting online,I have got to run by best buy and pick up a new router

no they open at 10 here this morning my router went bad and at this time just using the modem to the pc, i had netgear, but looking online now to see what is good in 2023 with speed and all, going direct my speed went up almost 500 mps

heck i work all night on my old router Genie, they said roll back the firmware to the orginal factory setting, i did that and could not connect to the internet, going direct now from modern to pc and trying to decide what router to get for the best speed, i still want to go with netgear i think,

This is lots of hassle CK.. But hopefully, it will be sorted out soon.

Get a good one. It needs to have a ~1500 mile wifi range.
The signal from your router to my house has been weak lately.

Have you called your ISP? Might be an issue on their end and not any problem with your equipment

i check online Bobby and for some reason when you update the firmware it slow down the speed big time, it a few yrs old and i will do a upgrade, im just going to take a day or 2 and try to find the best one for speed and distance

it seems like most routers as they get a couple of yrs on them slow downs

Get access points that are wired from your router to various areas of house

Gamblers hate spending money real cheap

JJ is an undervalued resource when it comes to tech issues, outlaw IT stuff, etc.

You can also take a look into a mesh wi-fi system depending on how big your house is

have u simply tried power cycling ur router ?? and PC just in case.

its very rare for a router to get shot out.

or calling ur ISP to find out, if theres something they see on their end...

it the router i found out still looking at to what i will pick up in a new router, i found 2 that look like it will do the job and will pu one today i guess, thanks Pete

I am a big fan using router from internet company way less issues and great support
