Got a 5 year show cause penalty after leaving - that and the fact he realized the landscape was changing/likely did not want to deal with the headaches at his age.

He went back to YSU as president in 2014 and likely enjoys the opportunities being president of a University affords him. Why get involved in the day to day business of managing soon to be pro athletes when you can run the university and be the unquestioned leader.

Love Tressell but his offense was antiquated and he was too stubborn to adjust

Never liked Urban - Day likely is looking at needing to make a SERiOUS run through the playoffs or will be dismissed.

Just plain embarrassing losing to Michigan at home with the talent level he has and the assistants he has on staff:

This should be the best team in the nation - I get parity and a weak year overall for CFB - but neutral field - how many teams would be favored over this team right now ? Texas would I think - who else ?

Going into today, no way would Texas be favored

No teams would’ve been favored over them

That is going to change though

And I agree, he is gone unless he gets at least to the national title game. Might need to win it

And there is no excuse to lose this game today. Defense played well overall, albeit a couple bad runs allowed
