Hard Rock Bet Is Garbage ; Axing "Sharps" - Florida Bettors Will Be Playing Offshore Again 👎

When Hard Rock Bet opened in Florida, I found nothing enticing about it other than deposits & withdrawals being somewhat convenient (That has since gotten easier with offshore)

But I did find Live Betting to be MUCH better than anything offshore had to offer

So, most of my straight bets remained offshore, while all of my Live wagers were at Hard Rock

There are 6 Tiers as a member, and I made my way to Diamond, not really because I am a huge bettor, but because I put in a lot of action with Live Bets




As a Diamond/VIP member, you have a guy contacting you via text messaging and/or email, with Free Plays awarded to your account and other special events only offered to VIP players (He once gave me two $500 Bonus Wagers at one time)

You also receive daily Profit Boosts and many other offers regular members don't get

So, about 3 months ago there was an APP update

Just after that, all of my daily offers & perks vanished

I would still get the notifications throughout the day as they would come in, but they would never work

Eventually even the notifications stopped

So, I thought maybe something was wrong with my account after I updated the APP

I contacted Hard Rock at least 15 times through email

Only once did I get a response that wasn't generated that they all use

But basically all inquiries had gone ignored

Finally my VIP guy texts me checking in saying he had been running behind and wanted to give me some Bonus Plays

I explained the situation to him and he asked me to give him a few minutes to see what was going on

I had a gut feeling what he was going to tell me but was surprised when he actually text'd back to tell me they had me marked as a Sharp (Texts Below)




Some may remember the Live Wagering thread and the success I was having particularly with International Live Basketball Totals

I'm pretty sure that's why this decision was made

An acquaintance of mine in Florida has also been shut down for similar reasons

I've seen a lot of Fanduel and Draftkings and compared to those two Hard Rock Bet was already trash

But this is icing on the cake in showing what a garbage book they are compared to the others & Florida is stuck with them unless something happens to get other options on the ballot

More bettors will flock back to offshore if Hard Rock Crap-Bet is their only option...

Sounds like FanDuel and more recently DK.

FanDuel outright said goodbye once I hit them for 4k a weekend last year.

DK continues to accept my action on football - but the free plays/offers are limited to parlay only - the days of money back offers have ceased - evidently I became too adept at “losing” them while having the opposite side bet elsewhere - even though I never won my free play either.

BetFred (Superbook) pulled out of the state - but they were great while here - giving me seats to multiple Bengals games including suite access a few times.

It’s funny you say that - I was hired in with someone else who had previously worked for the Seminole Nation at Hard Rock - pre legalized sports betting (but right as they were making the push to get into the market).

While I don’t work anywhere near the casino side of my field - the person we hired had worked on that side before and did not have positive things to say about the new management being brought in which is why they left - even as there was about to be a large expansion in the operation and the opportunity to move up the ranks. They saw it pretty clearly - the people in charge were not great business minds and were going to go too far to the extreme of grabbing as much revenue as possible to make it look like they were “successful” - sure enough - once they tightened up things got very tough very fast for people there in the behind the scenes part of the operation.

Just wait. When Florida gets 10+ legal books, you can get limited on all of them too. Just a question of weeks, or months. For example, I can win $75 on Penguins/Jets today @ FanDuel.

Majority of bettors at Hard Rock are probably newbies & won’t know any difference

Hopefully they do their research and find out how horrible this book is compared to all other Legal books & offshore books
