Chargers first up on a the Jim Harbaugh interview tour

Will not surprise me if he leaves with a handshake agreement to be their next HC.

Prior relationship with ownership, solid roster core and star QB in the making in place, major market team and oh yea - can walk away from all those pesky NCAA investigations and inquires.

The man has nothing left to prove to his alma mater at this point - he finally beat the Buckeyes - did it again this year - and took home Big 10 and National Championship. McCarthy is gone to the NFL and he knows the conference championship next year will be nowhere near as easy.

This is the best opportunity for him - and by striking a deal now - team can get a jump start on all the other teams searching for a coach and awaiting teams in the playoffs to lose before assistants can interview.

Can't tell you how many times I've walked away from a video poker or slot machine after the big hit, leaving it up for anyone to come by and clear.

Like leaving the basketball court after a swish.

Question is how long before the Harbaugh bros are playing each other for a SuperBowl, again, or Conference Championship.

Harbaugh should leave and the Chargers make perfect sense since they have a high powered offense led by a franchise QB already in place. There's nothing left for him at Michigan at this point and the NCAA has been a pain in the ass for him the last two years so he might as well go to the NFL.

IDK.... I like Harbaugh but damn.... I'm tired of seeing only the schools pay the toll when NCAA infractions come around (likley coming for Mich). There should be some kind of way to punish those who actually broke the rules.

It happens more in CBB than CFB.

Harbaugh will do well in LA if he goes. He's a good coach and there aren't any rules in NFL for him to break so he'll fit in great.

There are rules - but they just selectively apply punishment based on your W-L record.

Spygate/deflategate proved that.

He’s a good coach and football mind - but better watch what he wishes for - NFL fans and coaches won’t be as tolerant with 9-8 seasons and first round exits. I mean go 8-4 at Michigan and lose to your rival and your bowl game to the 3rd place SEC finisher - there will be calls to fire you - but they know they won’t improve if they do - so they keep you around another year. NFL that won’t keep you employed.

Oh and no way he goes to Dallas / the problem is Dak and a suspect defense. Said it before that game - Dallas D is a mirage - they look good on paper - but come time to put up - they fold. Not to be trusted.

Yeah.... The rules comment was a joke.

I don't see Harbaugh as a good fit in Dallas either. Jerry Jones will probably go after Belichik IMO.
