Going to see the Godfather (1972) on the big screen today

Really looking forward to it.

Every Wednesday early afternoon they show older movies at the theater about five minutes from my girlfriends.

Sometimes they’re really great like this week. I’ve seen it once before on the big screen.

Even though I love watching movies in the comfort of my own home and have definitely gotten with the streaming trend of the last 5 years, there’s still nothing like watching on the big screen.

Dig. Have you been around Austin long enough to remember the old Dobie theater on The Drag.

Absolutely loved those small theme-style individual theaters and they had “real butter for a quarter more.”

always showed great independent films. The novelty unfortunately went away after they were bought out, and eventually they closed shop all together .

Violet Crown is pretty cool. But not as great as Dobie was 15-20 years ago
